SnagIt + Windows Live Writer + Flickr = groovaay

I do not have a large amount of space on this wordpress.com blog so I am rarely storing images at WordPress.com.  Most of the images are stored on my Flickr account and embedded within the posts.  The Flickr output plugin for SnagIt and the Flickr plugin for Windows Live Writer simplifies things, especially when I am attempting to write and post a tutorial that includes screenshots.

Here is an example shot of the Flickr plugin for SnagIt in action.

After I have sent the screenshot to Flickr, it is immediately available to me within Windows Live Writer.

  1. Glad to see you are taking advantage of SnagIt’s output to Flickr. In an effort to make your life even easier, would you be interested in getting the embed code back directly from SnagIt when it uploads the image to Flickr versus just the URL? We could place the embed code on your clipboard so you could just upload to flickr and then paste into your post.

This may save you one more step when drafting your tutorial-like blog posts. If not, perhaps you would find having the embed code useful for other purposes?

  2. Having the SnagIt Flickr plugin already saves me on MANY steps. Having it place the embed code on my clipboard would make it that much more useful. Thanks.
