Keep Outlook Contacts but don’t sync with BlackBerry

I keep an “offline” Contacts folder separate from the default Outlook/Exchange Contacts folder.  There are many personal and business contacts that I need to keep filed but I do not want those to be synched with my BlackBerry (or Win Mobile when I did carry one).
Create a second Contacts folder titled similarly to “Contacts offline”.

How to embed Flickr.com photo in your blog

I have limited space to store images and other files in this free blog that WordPress.com hosts.  Most of the images that I post to this blog are actually stored in my Flickr.com account and embedded in the blog posts (the photos in this post are on Flickr.com too).  I’ve compiled some steps on how [...]

Windows Live Writer: Out of Beta

The Writer team has done a wonderful job with this tool.  It is top shelf and one of my favorites.  This may be my last post from the Beta 2 version!!!
Read their announcement and download Windows Live Writer 2008.  Windows Live Writer: Out of Beta

Improve Windows XP Performance: Defragment Hard Drive

A good way to improve the performance of Windows XP is to defragment the hard drive every few months.  The more copying, deleting, and other file related tasks you do, the more fragmented your hard disk will become.
Before you leave for lunch or some other extended period away from the keyboard, perform the following steps.  [...]

Playing Tiger Woods PGA Tour 08

I am going to a friend’s house here in a bit to play some Tiger Woods PGA Tour 08 on the Xbox 360.  I could play this game all day long if it is with other people.  Playing by yourself is not fun for me at all.
I’ve purchased a 512MB memory card for the 360 [...]

Snaps of Halo 3 Believe model

My good pal Jeremy was able to see part of the model that is shown in the Halo 3 Believe video while he was visiting the Microsoft store.
Here are the snaps he was able to capture with his phone.

Here is the Believe video.

Finished Halo 3

I finished Halo 3 last week, normal mode.  Jer and I will hook up on Xbox Live sometime soon and co-op through one of the more difficult modes.

Windows Live SharedView Beta

I am really interested in testing out this application.  Apparently Microsoft is going to make available a free, I hope, desktop sharing application.  If it is easy enough to use for average PC users then this could turn in to something very valuable to me.  I am often trying to make it through firewalls and [...]

2007 Microsoft Office Add-in: Microsoft Save as PDF or XPS

I have found that this free Office 2007 plug-in (with validation) is very useful.  I prefer to send in expense reports as PDFs.  I am able to scan receipts, line and note everything up in OneNote 2007, then publish as a PDF for sending to the office.  Very nice!!
I would not mind at all moving [...]
