Keep Outlook Contacts but don’t sync with BlackBerry

I keep an “offline” Contacts folder separate from the default Outlook/Exchange Contacts folder.  There are many personal and business contacts that I need to keep filed but I do not want those to be synched with my BlackBerry (or Win Mobile when I did carry one).
Create a second Contacts folder titled similarly to “Contacts offline”.

SnagIt + Windows Live Writer + Flickr = groovaay

I do not have a large amount of space on this wordpress.com blog so I am rarely storing images at WordPress.com.  Most of the images are stored on my Flickr account and embedded within the posts.  The Flickr output plugin for SnagIt and the Flickr plugin for Windows Live Writer simplifies things, especially when I [...]

Improve Windows XP Performance: Defragment Hard Drive

A good way to improve the performance of Windows XP is to defragment the hard drive every few months.  The more copying, deleting, and other file related tasks you do, the more fragmented your hard disk will become.
Before you leave for lunch or some other extended period away from the keyboard, perform the following steps.  [...]

E-mail to Cingular phones, SMS, MMS

Since the change from Cingular to AT&T, use these e-mail addresses to send SMS or MMS to a person’s phone

When I am looking for information on a particular topic I will often visit Big Boards.  I can browse a list of the, many, larger message/bulleting boards on the web.
btw, I am a member of IGN which is ranked second.

Remote Desktop for MAC

Microsoft released a Beta of the Remote Desktop utility.  It allows you to use RD/Terminal Services from a Mac and to remotely connect to Windows desktops and servers.

Windows Live SharedView Beta

I am really interested in testing out this application.  Apparently Microsoft is going to make available a free, I hope, desktop sharing application.  If it is easy enough to use for average PC users then this could turn in to something very valuable to me.  I am often trying to make it through firewalls and [...]

DLink DWL-G730AP Pocket Router

Some of my co-workers were asking about this device today.  I carry it in my bag when I travel.  It is by far the most compact WiFi router I have found yet.  It has the same DLink web interface that I am a fan of.
